Sweet Saro was born at bonfire parties in their hometown of Baltimore City. Named for a British/Appalachian ballad, the band puts traditional Americana songwriting motifs to an ever-changing mix of acoustic and electric instrumentation. Sweet Saro sets dark themes to bright songs, creating simple sounding yet deceptively intricate music about dreams that don’t always come true.
